First established in 1950 as a luxurious Yong Sin Hotel for business men at that time. Then in 1970, turned into Phatsai Apartment for workers around Yoawaraj area. The building then has an 66 year old structure with 3 storey made of cement and 1 storey made of teak. Without air conditioner at that time, It was first designed to be open and airy, and shower rooms were separated from bedrooms. Even in the form of an apartment, Yong Sin Hotel still remains its trace of glory from the old day.

 

Finally in 2016, the 4th floor of the building was renovated into a lodge for travelers, the old furniture from 1950 was swept out the dust and renewed, even the cardboard partitions was remove to reveal the beautiful teak walls beneath, all together with carefulness. The old Hotel has now returned to its beginning point again.

 

Zog Zag Inn is therefore not a grand hotel with all facilities that will offer you the whole convenience, we still have no private bathrooms, no electric elevator, and smoking in the wooden walled bedroom is too risk. We heartily want to keep the real old structural building, which rarely seen nowadays, in its good condition as long as we can, and hope you want to join us.
